The MetroHealth Friends of Mothers & Infants (Friends of M & I) board consists of dedicated volunteers from the Greater Cleveland community, who share an interest in the health and well being of low-income families, specifically, clients receiving health care through the MetroHealth Center for Community Health. Many of our members are fully employed and others are retirees. All bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that has contributed to our board’s long-term success. Our current board includes social workers, a non-profit manager, a director of research, a public health secretary, a registered dietician, a police officer, a registered nurse, a public relations communications director, a bank assistant manager, a medical secretary and full time community volunteers.
Through our commitment, focus, and diverse professional backgrounds, our volunteers successfully work together to carry out the organization’s mission: Friends of M & I promotes the health and well being of families by providing essential items for mothers and infants/children who are clients of the MetroHealth Center for Community Health.
We are proud that one of our long-time volunteers, Molly Brudnick, received a Region 3 Ohio NASW Lifetime Achievement Award in the Spring of 2018 for her commitment to social justice and advocacy!
